Matt Zenitz of 247Sports recently predicted that 5-star offensive tackle Lance Heard will commit to the Vols. Lance Heard was the No. 3 offensive tackle and No. 15 overall national player in the class of 2023. Heard played in 12 games as a true freshman for LSU and is expected to be the start at left tackle if he does commit to Tennessee. 

The Vols are in dire need of offensive line depth after Gerald Mincey transferred to Kentucky last week. Mincey was the Vols starting right tackle for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. John Campbell, the starting left tackle, has been posting videos on X practicing at the right tackle position and seems to be on board with the transition. 

Hopefully, this means Heard is serious about the Vols and we will see a commitment announcement in the coming days.
