Saturday Slate: Top games to watch with the Vols not in action

Tennessee football and its fans have earned this bye week. After three games in a row full of heart palpitations and close finishes, we finally have a chance to take a deep breath before the sprint to the finish. Some Tennessee fans may be up for some apple-picking or pumpkin carving, but here are our top games to watch for those who want to drown themselves in football today.

Notre Dame @ Navy

  • God Bless America, enough said.

Oklahoma @ Ole Miss

  • It would be nice if Oklahoma could not totally crater and make our win in Norman carry some weight come playoff time.

Missouri @ Alabama

  • Either we get to laugh at Alabama’s continued downfall or they rebound and give us a better quality win. Either way, it will be an interesting game.

Texas @ Vanderbilt

  • Can Texas rebound from their first SEC loss? Can Vandy shock the world again? A lot will be learned on West End today on both sides.

LSU @ Texas A&M

  • The last two teams without an SEC loss will face off tonight in College Station. Both teams undefeated since week 1 and both looking to secure superiority atop the SEC standings.

Auburn @ Kentucky

  • This game only made our top games because Kentucky is Tennessee’s next opponent. A little scouting never hurt anyone but these are two SEC bottom feeders. However, that doesn’t mean it cant be an entertaining game.
