Tennessee lands commitment from 2025 in-state receiver

Tennessee added another commit to its 2025 class on Saturday. Tennessee now has six commits in the 2025 class including 5-star QB George McIntyre.

Joakim Dodson, a 3-star wide receiver out of Collierville, Tennessee committed to the Vols Saturday. He committed to the Vols over Missouri and Ole Miss. Dodson, 6-1 and 178 pounds, has explosive speed and quickness, and solid hands. When asked why he wanted to come to Tennessee, he mentioned his relationship with the coaching staff and wide receiver coach Kelsey Pope. He also stated his excitement to play with others in his class.

“George definitely, but I’m excited to play with all the commitments; we’re building something very special at Rocky Top!”

Josh Heupel is on pace for his 3rd top-15 recruiting class. Unlike Tennessee coaches in the past, Heupel does a great job keeping in-state talent in Tennessee. With MacIntyre being the number 2 quarterback, I expect more blue-chip player commitments coming.
