The Vols received amazing news on Monday morning. 2025 5-star George MacIntyre has committed to Tennessee. The QB is the No. 1 player in the state of Tennessee for 2025 and is the No. 3 QB in the class.
MacIntyre narrowed it down to the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Vols. After Saban’s retirement, it became more and more likely that the stud QB would come to Rocky Top.
This is a massive get for Josh Heupel who has faced criticism for failing to secure top in-state talent after previous coaching staffs burned bridges with high school coaches. Now, Heupel has himself an elite QB to add to a roster that already features Nico Iamaleava and Jake Merklinger. This trio of QBs may make up the most talented QB room the Vols have ever had.
