Tennessee lands commitment from 4-star IOL Nic Moore

It doesn’t matter how talented of a stable a team has in the backfield or a talented quarterback without help in the trenches.

The Tennessee football team gained a commitment from 4-star interior offensive lineman Nic Moore Thursday morning. The Dandridge, Tennessee product was mulling offers from West Virginia, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Wake Forest and Vanderbilt before ultimately deciding to stay close to home and don the orange and white.

Standing at 6’5, 300-pounds, Moore attended Jefferson County High School and predominantly got snaps at Left Tackle, but ran as a two-way player and saw time at Defensive Tackle. He was tabbed 1-6A Lineman of the year, collecting 33 tackles, 19 Tackles For Loss, and two interceptions as a junior.

Notably, Moore was fresh off a visit to Tennessee in one of the biggest recruiting weekends in the Josh Heupel era — 5-star offensive lineman David Sanders Jr. showed Moore some love on his commitment posts. Sanders Jr. shared time in Knoxville this past weekend with Moore.

The commitment moves the Vols up to 16th in 2025 team recruiting rankings according to 247sports.com.

There are several other 2025 targets heavily considering Tennessee, so the momentum keeps trending positively for the Vols’ future.
