Breaking News: Tennessee Titans finalizing deal to make Brian Callahan Head Coach
The Tennessee Titans have found their man at Head Coach. Today the Titans had their second interview with Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan and were not going to let him leave before he signed the dotted line.
The Titans fired Mike Vrabel on January 9th due to rumblings within the organization that he was hard to deal with and a general jackass. Pair that with going 6-18 in his last 24 games and the Titans found themselves on the market for a new head man.
This hire is a home run. Brian Callahan has coached elite quarterbacks everywhere he has been, and the Titans probably felt he was a perfect fit to help mold Will Levis into an elite player. Callahan has coached Peyton Manning, Matthew Stafford, and most recently Joe Burrow.
At the end of the day the Titans were always going to go with an offensive-minded coach after the last two years of hell the fans have endured watching the team look like a 1970s offense, and Brian Callahan might finally be the coach that brings the Titans into the 21st century.
